Another easy park and grab PET preform geocache. This time in the Netherlands. Some days you have many other things to do. But between the things to do you end up at some places where you won’t go back again. When this happens I try to find at least one geocache in the area. This one was one of those finds.
I have been, or can be if you click on a link and make a purchase, compensated via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value for writing this post. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I or my family use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
The geocache which is a PET preform hiding

Once I tried to find who was the first to use a PET preform (petling) as a geocache container first but I could not find it.

The search
It is all about the search. After we parked almost on the coordinates it was obvious where to start. The only small problem was that other car and the muggle. As I was getting close I knew where to stop to cover myself while searching. Most cache owners set correct difficulty / terrain numbers. As it was not any high one it had to be around the information board. At first I looked at the board but did not see the geocache so I started looking all around. Then I looked again from the other side. I spotted immediately. The sun was going down as a result from one angle it was too bright. It was a quick find so after a fast log I checked the map again. There is another one just a few hundreds meters away so I decided to stop there as well. That will be another story.

What you need to make a similar hide
- Of course a permission to place a geocache on the board unless it is yours.
- Some pipe clamps.
Some petling, PET preform
Logbook
I prefer the DIY style so I make logbook myself. If you have a huge amount of geocaches to maintain it might be easier to find a supplier and get them online.
Some more photos of the surrounding

I took the above photo shortly after arriving to the location. Yes, there was a muggle and I decided to act like a tourist. As we spoke non local we must have looked like a tourist.

I grew up in a town. My home town was not a big one and I was living in the suburb. I was always wondering how a kid grow up while the closest potential friend is not living in walking distance.

It did not take too long to find the geocache but the sun went down fast.

See the birds flying away while the sun goes down?
There is beauty at each location you just have to see it.
